2 cups ripe bananas, mashed (about 4-5 medium bananas)
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)


Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9Γ—5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and lump-free.
